Founded in 1982, the U.S. National Tennis Academy is a non-profit association of Tennis Teaching Professionals.  The USNTA produces and administers a distance learning Tennis Instructor training and certification program.  Persons who successfully complete the program are designated as "Certified Professional Tennis Instructors."

Since certification is voluntary, it represents not only compliance with established standards, but also a special personal commitment to quality and professionalism. Certification also enhances your chances of obtaining a teaching job.
