Field Marks:

 

10 1/2" bird (Robin-Sized).  Brilliant green above with a shiny, powder-blue head and face.  They have a black eyebrow that connects with a broad black patch from the ear to the chin and throat.  They have a spot above their eye.


Voice: Check-check-check that is rapid and slower sound like cleep, cleep, cleep.


Where found: A very colorful jay that is found much in the tropics and only locally within the United States in Southern Texas.


Texas: South Texas.  This one was seen and photographed at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley state park by Mission, Texas.
