Field Marks: Upside down bird.  Known for its black cap and beady black eye on a white face.
Voice: It's song is a series of low, nasal, whistled notes on the same pitch.  For example, "whi, whi, whi, whi, whi, whi, whi or may sound like who,who,who"
Where found: S. Canada south to s. Mexico.  This particular one was seen near Baldwinsville, New York and Plymouth, Mass.
Texas: Resident in e. third and west to Fort Worth, Bryan.  It is also a resident in the mountains of the Trans-Pecos.  It is very prevalent in the Edwards Plateau.

Habitat: Woodlands, grooves, shade trees.

Nest: In the hole of a tree.  Lays 5-7 dotted eggs.
