1- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg
yold and vanilla.
2- Stir in the flour, half a cup at a time, blending well. Stir in pecans.
3- Roll into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar.
4- Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press with a bottom of a glass to 3/8-inch thickness.
5- Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
6- Lower heat to 300F. Bake cookies for 12 mminutes longer until just light brown on bottom.
7- Cool a minute before removing to rack to complete cooking. Store
airtight.
